The Wig Room is the trading name of a West Yorkshire based hand crafted Wig Maker, home made and individually created wigs and hair pieces for any purpose.
As an all rounder, having created wigs for both personal clients and for the television and theatre industry, I can help you bring your vision to reality. You may need advice on selecting what would work for you. I am always happy to help and give direction.
I make made-to-measure full wigs and hair piece options using real hair and have experience of working with clients who have thinning hair or more severe loss due to health issues.
I have also worked with theatrical clients and performers who need to transform their image for the stage.
Ideas and Options
For hair loss-
If you have most of your hair, there is the option of a hair piece/topper. This could be the one for you to help fill out your overall hair and image.
For more severe cases I can create full wigs with a natural look and finish so it fits comfortably and suits you best.
I also make hair extensions and hand weave these onto cotton threads, either you can provide the hair or buy it through the Wig Room.
If you already have a wig that needs repairing, thickening or updating - get in touch.
Theatrical and Performers-
Full front lace wigs for performers can also be made
as well as hair extensions natural or crazy colours. all handmade and bespoke to you.
Another option is facial hair for those for theatrical or fancy dress purposes; beards, moustaches and side burns.

The Wig Maker of this home made company is a twentysomething girl from West Yorkshire.
She studied at Somerset College of Arts and Technology in the HE Centre for two years, studying Special Effects Media and Makeup Artistry. Wig making was an essential module to complete and this is where she found her interest and passion in wig making.
Moving north again to complete her BA Hons Makeup Artistry top up year to gain her full honours degree, she based her two modules around wig making to learn more and become confident in making wigs. These were both a success and can be seen in the Gallery.
In the two year, having completed a successful internship with Wigs Up North in Manchester, she has set up as a freelance wig maker and continues to work as a freelancer for Wigs up North. Throughout her time here they have taught her the way and perfected her skills as a wig maker. She thouroughly enjoys the process, the outcome and responses from the clients she has worked with, with this company and look forwards to future clients to work with.
